Fearlessly Unshackled is more than a podcast—it's a ministry dedicated to sharing authentic testimonies of God's transforming power. Through every conversation, we inspire people to break free from fear, embrace healing, discover their God-given purpose, and live unshackled in the freedom found only in Jesus Christ.

Hosted by Sarah Rose, who is passionate about amplifying stories of God's grace, we believe everyone has a story worth sharing.

The Bible encourages us to share our testimonies:

"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony" (Revelation 12:11).

By sharing how God has moved in our lives, we can draw others closer to Him and inspire them to embrace their faith. It's not about us—it's about obeying God's calling and allowing Him to work through us to bring light and hope into the world.

Luck

Perhaps what you've been calling luck has been God's faithfulness all along.

Let's Talk About Luck: What If It Was God All Along?

What the world calls luck may actually be God's hand at work in our lives.

Have you ever heard someone say, "I was just lucky"?

Maybe they were in the right place at the right time. Maybe an incredible opportunity came their way, a door opened unexpectedly, or they accomplished something they never thought possible.

When we ask successful people how they achieved what they have, we often hear responses like:

"I worked hard."

"I was determined."

"I never gave up."

"I was just in the right place at the right time."

And as a society, we accept those answers. We celebrate their hard work, their perseverance, and sometimes even their good fortune.

But recently, I found myself thinking about something.

How many times in my own life have I called something luck when it was actually God?

How many times have I celebrated an accomplishment without fully recognizing the One who made it possible?

How many times have I credited my own determination, abilities, or hard work without stopping to acknowledge the power of God working within me?

Because the truth is, I don't believe I have gotten to where I am today by luck.

I believe the hand of God has been upon my life.

And perhaps it's time we stop calling everything luck and start recognizing the goodness, provision, and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (ESV)
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Psalm 107:9 (ESV)
For he satisfies the longing soul and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

It Was Never Meant to Be About Our Strength Alone

Philippians 4:19 reminds us:

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

And just a few verses earlier, we read:

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." — Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Think about that for a moment.

We love to quote Philippians 4:13.

We see it on athletic clothing, motivational posters, and social media. We hear it spoken before competitions, during difficult seasons, and when people are pursuing big dreams.

But what happens after the victory?

What happens when we cross the finish line, receive the promotion, build the business, accomplish the goal, or overcome the obstacle?

Do we remember the One who strengthened us?

Or do we begin to believe we accomplished it all on our own?

There is nothing wrong with working hard, being determined, or celebrating accomplishments. God has given us gifts, abilities, and opportunities, and we are called to be faithful with them.

But our abilities are gifts from God, and our strength ultimately comes from Him.

We may put in the work, but we should never forget the One who gave us the ability to do that work.

God Has Already Been Preparing the Way

One of the most beautiful truths in Scripture is that God has a purpose for our lives.

Psalm 139:16 tells us that God knew our days before one of them came to be.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has plans for His people, plans for hope and a future.

And Proverbs 16:9 says:

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps"

I love that verse.

We make plans. We set goals. We dream about what our future might look like.

But God directs our steps.

Romans 8:28 also reminds us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

That doesn't mean every situation will be easy or that everything will happen exactly as we want.

But it does mean we can trust that God is at work, even when we cannot see what He is doing.

Sometimes the very things we call coincidences are opportunities to recognize His guidance.

Sometimes a closed door is His protection.

Sometimes a delay is His preparation.

And sometimes the opportunity we never saw coming is exactly where He has been leading us.

What if we spent less time trying to make everything happen and more time asking God where He wants us to go?

Less of Me and More of Him

John the Baptist made a powerful declaration in John 3:30:

"He must increase, but I must decrease." — John 3:30 (KJV)

What a beautiful way to approach life.

Less of me.

More of Him.

Less of my own agenda.

More of His purpose.

Less of trying to control every outcome.

More of trusting His direction.

I wonder how much we miss because we are so focused on what we want that we forget to ask God what He wants.

We have our goals, our desires, our plans, and our timelines.

But what if God's plans are greater than anything we could ever imagine?

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power working in us.

Not just what we can accomplish.

But what He can accomplish through us.

That changes everything.

Because when we align our lives with God's will, we stop limiting our future to what we believe is possible through our own abilities.

We begin trusting the One for whom all things are possible.

What If We Started Every Day Asking God?

I have to admit, there are days when my feet hit the floor and my mind is already racing.

I have things to accomplish.

People to meet.

Decisions to make.

Responsibilities to fulfill.

And sometimes I get so busy doing that I forget to pause and ask the most important question.

"God, what do You want me to do today?"

Not what do I want to accomplish.

Not what is on my calendar.

Not what everyone else expects of me.

But God, what is Your will for my life today?

Who do You want me to encourage?

Where do You want me to go?

What opportunities do You want me to recognize?

What distractions do I need to let go of?

What decisions do I need to surrender to You?

Who needs to experience Your love through me today?

You see, God doesn't want to be someone we turn to only when things become difficult.

He wants a relationship with us.

He wants to walk with us throughout our days, guiding our decisions, strengthening us in our weaknesses, and directing our steps.

Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us:

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." — Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

Notice those words.

In all thy ways acknowledge Him.

Not just when life is hard.

Not just when we need something.

Not just when we have exhausted every other option.

In ALL our ways.

That means inviting Him into the ordinary moments just as much as the extraordinary ones.

Your Story Was Never Meant to Be Yours Alone

Before you ever took your first breath, God knew you.

He formed you.

He created you with gifts, talents, and abilities.

He created you for a purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us:

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." — Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

I want you to understand something.

There are people connected to your purpose.

There are lives you are meant to touch.

There are people who need the encouragement, wisdom, kindness, and love that God has placed within you.

And He never intended for you to figure everything out on your own.

In Joshua 1:9, God reminds Joshua to be strong and courageous because the Lord his God will be with him wherever he goes.

And in Deuteronomy 31:6, we are reminded that God will never leave us or forsake us.

What incredible promises.

We don't have to walk through life alone.

We don't have to have every answer.

We don't have to know exactly how everything is going to work out.

We simply need to be willing to trust Him, seek Him, and follow where He leads.

It's Never Too Late to Come Back to Him

Maybe as you are reading this, you realize you have been walking your own road for a long time.

Maybe you've been making decisions without seeking God.

Maybe you've been trying to carry burdens that were never meant to be carried alone.

Maybe you've experienced success but have forgotten to acknowledge the One who made it possible.

Or maybe you've been struggling, wondering where God is and why things haven't worked out the way you hoped.

I want to encourage you today.

It's never too late to turn back to Him.

You don't have to have everything figured out.

You don't have to clean up every part of your life before coming to Jesus.

You simply need to reach out to Him.

You can say:

"Father, I've been walking my own road, trying to figure everything out by myself. But I need You. I need You to be the center of my life. I need Your wisdom, Your strength, and Your guidance. Show me where You want me to go. Remove the distractions that are keeping me from Your purpose. Help me surrender my plans to Yours."

And then begin walking with Him.

One prayer.

One decision.

One step of faith at a time.

Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28–30 to come to Him with our burdens and learn from Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

We were never meant to carry the weight of this life without Him.

When Your Story Becomes Your Testimony

Imagine the next time someone looks at your life and says:

"Wow, you've been really lucky!"

Or maybe they ask:

"How did you accomplish all of that?"

What if instead of immediately talking about your hard work, determination, or being in the right place at the right time, you simply smiled and said:

"It wasn't luck. It was the goodness and faithfulness of God. The greater One lives within me, and His name is Jesus Christ. I'd love to tell you more about Him."

Think about the opportunity in that moment.

An ordinary conversation becomes an opportunity to share the extraordinary love of Jesus.

Your accomplishment becomes a testimony.

Your story becomes a way to point someone else toward the One who has been working in your life all along.

Revelation 12:11 reminds us of the power of the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Our stories matter.

But they were never meant to bring glory only to ourselves.

They are opportunities to bring glory to God.

And when we recognize that, we begin to see our lives differently.

Not as a collection of lucky breaks.

Not simply as the result of our own determination.

But as a journey of faith, obedience, grace, and God's incredible goodness.

So the next time someone tells you how lucky you are, perhaps you can smile and say:

"I am blessed beyond measure, and I know exactly who to thank."

His name is Jesus.

And I'd love to tell you about Him.

A Prayer for You Today

Heavenly Father,

In the mighty name of Jesus, I come before You today and lift up every person who is reading this message.

Father, I pray that they recognize just how precious and important their lives are to You.

You created them.

You formed them.

You placed gifts, talents, and a beautiful purpose within them.

And You never intended for them to walk through this life alone.

Father, I ask that Your Holy Spirit fill them today.

Surround them with Your presence. Let them experience Your peace, Your love, and Your goodness in a fresh and powerful way.

May the very next breath they take feel like a breath of freedom.

Freedom from the pressure of trying to figure everything out on their own.

Freedom from fear, worry, and the need to control every outcome.

Freedom to trust that You are with them, that You will never leave them, and that You will never forsake them.

Jesus, I pray that each person reading this would surrender whatever they have been carrying.

The burdens.

The decisions.

The disappointments.

The dreams.

The plans.

The things they have been trying so desperately to accomplish in their own strength.

Father, help us to lay them at Your feet.

Show us what You want us to do in this season of our lives.

Remove the distractions that pull us away from Your purpose.

Give us wisdom to recognize Your direction, courage to follow where You lead, and faith to trust You even when we cannot see the path ahead.

Let our lives be living testimonies of Your goodness.

Not for our own glory, but for Yours.

May others see You in the way we live, the way we love, the way we serve, and the way we respond to the opportunities You place before us.

We give You all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory.

We love You, Jesus.

In Your mighty and precious name, we pray.

Amen.

Perhaps what you've been calling luck has been God's faithfulness all along.

A question to reflect on today:

What is one thing in your life that you once attributed to luck, but now recognize may have been the hand of God?

Take a moment today to thank Him for it.

And the next time someone asks about your success, don't miss the opportunity to share the One who made it possible.

Your story may be exactly what someone else needs to hear to find Jesus.
